When Sebek invites you to his hometown- Briar Valley- it comes as a welcomed surprise. He talks of his hometown with such enthusiasm- the training range, the lakes his grandfather used to take him, the best places to hunker down on stormy nights.

It was cute the way he stopped by Ramshackle to help you pack, holding up mismatched pair of gloves, exclaiming that due to the number of holes in them, they would not keep you warm. Neither will your thin long sleeves... Neither will your ankle socks... The next day you see him rush in with an oversized jacket that hit your kneecaps, a warm, cream-colored hat, and gloves that matched his.

You can see the way his eyes shine when you step out of the mirror, close to night. Dark trees contrast against snow-topped mountains, the city itself bustling with the use of magic. Gems embedded into their heaters leave the cobblestone path clean of any sleet that may cause injury. It felt like a city made of fairytales.

Sebek sees the way your mouth is open in awe and tuts his head in victory.

“See human! Nothing can compare to the magnificence of Brair Valley!” His hand extends as if decorated the whole plaza by himself, smile widening, “Not even Night Raven Academy can compare to this brilliance.” You just laugh, tiny pearls of sound echo out of you as he pulls you, side by side explaining each detail of his childhood.

How he hit his knee on the fountain there and dented the fountain itself. His favorite candy store now turned into a small grocery pop-up his mother would take him and his siblings. A café that the grownups would never let him or his childhood friends enter because they make too much of a ruckus. He said it looked like the castle to conquer as they trained as small squires back then.

You can see his point. With a dark green roof and muted brown paint, painted against it were murals of gargoyles and delicate rose flowers blooming by the windows almost alive. Tacked to the forehead of the door you see the sign open- warm orange lights calling you from the cold outside, no matter how many layers you wore. You tug his sleeve, breaking Sebek from his monologue, “Let’s go in. You know- to fulfill your childhood dreams.”

It doesn’t take much to convince him when you make it a challenge and he sputters how he is a real knight now that he is ready for anything now trained, and how he could protect Lord Malleus-

A chaste kiss to his lips for silence, you pull him behind you opening the front door as you lead into a comfy café. Antique wooden chairs that were decorated with mini gargoyles, a candle- lantern spiny lazily with small- what you can assume fairies keeping the fire warm. You take the table next to the fireplace, Sebek hates it cold.

Lifting the menu, you see delicately painted pictures of lattes to teas- you thought that this be a bar considering what he said about grownups not letting him in before. Sebek brows are furrowed as well as he flips the menu back and forward- he must also have the same confusion as you. It’s too cute not to tease!

You reach over the table and take his hands, “Stop that. I know we are at the center of the evil headquarters but that doesn’t mean you can give yourself away oh knight.” Sebek scoffs but doesn’t pull away from your warmth, “What can a weakling life you do to protect I?” You give a soft smile as you pull his hands closer to your side of the table, “Why I’m much stronger than you?” As you do you lean over to kiss both of his knuckles, and he sputters retracting his hands like fire touched them. Another laugh leaves you as you pick up the menu again, Sebek squirming in his seat, “Now, what shall we order?”

Hi!

So, I decided to do a little something-something to motivate myself to create art and/or write. Part of this something-something also happens to involve my favorite X-Men: Evolution ship of all time 😚.

"For you, Rollo." One of the gargoyles slips something into his hand. When Rollo unfurls his hand, he finds a fistful of flower seeds in his palm. "You like gardening, don't you? Maybe you can plant these and watch them grow into something beautiful. Then you can look at those flowers and your heart will be at peace."

I really like the idea of flowers as symbolism for character growth and development 😌 I was thinking a lot about that connection and What Else Can I Do? from Encanto while writing this.

Anyway, stan gargoyle 🫶

Rollo recognized the gargoyle as soon as it had hopped up to him. A 10-degree difference on the wings, the 1-centimeter scratch running along the head. There was no mistaking it: this gargoyle was the very same that had caught him upon his defeated descent from the bell tower.

"Y'know, we're always up here. You can talk to us if something's botherin' ya."

Suddenly the flower seeds in his palm felt heavier than lead. A metallic taste coated the back of his tongue.

“I picked them up from the pesky birds that visit the bell tower," the gargoyle rambled cheerily. "The other day, a whole family made its nest in my mouth while I was still sleeping! Can you believe that?”

Rollo cut straight to the point.

"How did you know about the gardening?" he managed, in spite of the dryness that consumed his throat. His usual perfect, practiced poise came through.

The gargoyle laughed, low and gravely like the rock he was carved from. "It's been three whole years now. There's not a day in the year when you skip out on polishing the Bell of Salvation, cleaning us gargoyles... or watering the campus flowers."

He bristled. "You act as though you know me."

But no one does.

Not when he had stowed all his secrets away in that diary. Away from his classmates, away from his parents, away from the world. All the turmoil and hurt and anguish, banished to the pages.

Troubles rooted deep, not meant for mortal eyes.

The gargoyle's answer was a simple one. He tapped his temple and grinned. "I may not know what's going on in your head, but I know that you have a big heart. It's a good foundation. Fertile soil for flowers to grow—if you'll let them."

He nodded, indicating Rollo’s hand.

The seeds.

The start of something new.

Rollo curled his fingers back around them—a cage for the seeds, the bars stopping just short of crushing them. “… Heh. Hilarious. I hadn’t realized that stone was capable of comedy.”

If the gargoyle was offended, he didn’t show it. He slowly inclined his head to one side. “Yes, yes, I can see it now. A plant pushing through the dirt, rising through the roof and to the skies. That’s the sort of flower you’d be.”

“You think rather highly of me.”

When you’re fully aware of what I am capable of.

“I do. That's just the sort of person I've come to know you as, someone we can rely on. I’d trust you with the clothes right off my back if I wore any clothes!!”

The gargoyle chuckled at his own bad joke, elbowing Rollo in the ribs to encourage him to join in. The best he got was a stifled wheeze--more of a result of the jab than actually finding humor in his words.

“… Hey, Rollo. When these flowers have blossomed, I hope you'll be able to look at them and feel a little more at ease."

"I cannot make any promises as to how I will feel about the flowers, whether they've reached full maturity or not," he warned. Stern, pragmatic--as always.

"That's fine," the gargoyle replied with a patient grin.

One day, those feelings might change. Until then... I’ll watch over you as you, too, grow into something beautiful.

ASGORE: He’s like a staple of the furry community at this point. Absolute failman. Big fat hairy dad what’s not to love. I could fix him. I want everything on earth to happen to him

GARGOYLE: ok here’s the thing gargoyles are VERY underappreciated by general monsterfucker-furry types. They’re so cute and come in all shapes and sizes. This particular design is very good and I would love to take him out for hamburgers. Make his rock-solid body into something rock-soft am I right haha. Ok

PETRILISK: FISH!!! I love fish and fish creatures swamp monsters etc etc they are also VERY underappreciated….nothing is cuter than generic grey fish….I think XIV made me appreciate this type of Sea Man design and this guy is very handsome. I want to rub his cheeks while he gets big (which cheeks? Well…….)

PEPPY: ok I’ll be honest the bucktooth rabbit look isn’t really my favourite I think it looks a little goofy. BUT!!!! He works it well he’s a cute tubby short old man. I would love to make him tubbier….would love to do an art pack on Patreon of him one day. He would look so cute stuffed and sitting in someone’s lap 🫶

PANGORO: he never really used to be a design I liked but I’ve seen a lot of art of him over the years and he’s pretty good. Cute potbellied panda dude. Want him to sit on me and inflate himself and j*rk off (<- whoever said this is INSANE….)

AMICUS: I have ZERO clue about the VN he’s from but I’ve heard lots of good things about it so I would like to read it one day…..judging solely at face value he’s a cute generic wolf (?) uppy dog (?) guy. Cute big snout. No idea if being huge would suit his personality but he would be cute with a squeezable pot belly

DARLING: I haven’t finished Control yet but at face value he a little bit 🤏 plain for my tastes. NOT THAT THAT’S A BAD THING!!!!! Just that there are probably other men I would rather get my scrump on with. However he does wear the “Scientist Potentially Doing Unethical Experiments” look very well. Also he’s greying which automatically gives him points

Hai I’m here with a block of text but this is for a hypothetical of like “dream figures”/“what u would produce if u were in charge of making figures and had no limits.”

-Cool darkstalkers figures, Felicia in cute outfits and also cool monstrous poses. Jedah. Hsien-ko figures that emphasize of her weapons like her claws and giant flail (just cartoony and fun stuff for the whole cast, maybe references to their moves in the pocket fighting game.) morrigan in non sexy poses. Petit chara land marionette

-More Fighting game figs that use different color palettes from in game

-Dynamic Godzilla poses, like Godzilla on four legs in the middle of some movement? Chibi model kits of gigan and angurius. Cute sleeping Godzilla figure (curled up and laying down)

-Model kits of the ssss gridman kaiju, anti especially

-Rain world figure, ideally not just the slug cat but with something like a slug cat and lizard together. (Anything that has the slug cat and one other creature would be cool) plush of the string worms (realistically sized) (so like a foot or less)
